The Arcades Shopping Centre in Ashton-under-Lyne opened its doors in October 1995 and currently offers 13,006 m² (140,000 ft²) of retail space over two floors.

The centre accommodates over 40 well-known retail stores under one roof including HMV, Next, Woolworth’s, W H Smith, New Look, Superdrug, Bank, Footlocker, Original Shoe, Adams and H. Samuel.

The Arcades was purchased in Nov 06 by Apollo Ashton Unit Trust.

The company's owners and two principal operatives have between them over 40 years of experience working on shopping centres both in the UK, Europe and the USA.
